Description: *** NOTE: The Education Expo time has changed! It is now THIS FRIDAY - 11/06 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. *** Employers are recruiting students, recent graduates, or alumni for professional positions in the education industry. We are offering two virtual components as well as the Face to Face event, as we want to accommodate the needs of ALL of our Monarch Community members and those who partner with us. On Wednesday, October 28, 2020 - we will host our Virtual components to the event. Students, Alumni, Military Affiliated members, and Employers will participate in the KnowCareers portion of the career fair. Students and Alumni will be able to upload a resume, a professional photo, and a 30 second commercial for review by organizations who are participating in this event. Organizations will be able to review these resumes and profiles and follow-up with candidates (students and alumni). On Wednesday, October 28, 2020, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm - CDS will host a special Zoom Session, so that organizations and candidates can connect virtually. Friday, November 6, 2020 - CDS will host the annual Education Expo on Zoom from 3:00pm - 4:00pm. The Agenda for the day is as follows: 2:30 pm: Employer Check-in 3:00 - 3:05 pm: Welcome 3:05 pm - 4:00 pm: Networking ***Register in advance for this meeting

Description: Marathon Consulting Zoom Drop-In Information Session Paid Business Technology Internship Opportunity Marathon Consulting is seeking an intern for our dynamic and innovative Digital Marketing team. You will be mentored to support the efforts of this team by our skilled and professional staff. This opportunity is available year round, including academic breaks, for those whose studies permit with the potential for full-time employment upon graduating. Interns typically work up 20 hours per week, however based on course load and schedules, flexibility is permitted. Our office is in Virginia Beach, in the heart of Town Center. During the COVID-19 pandemic, most employees are working virtually. Description: CDS Bootcamp Session 02: "How to Develop a Competitive Resume to Apply for Opportunities" Interactive resume workshop with virtual hands-on assistance Students will be able to: · Understand the rules of resume writing · Design and write a competitive resume to use in future applications ------------------- CDS Bootcamp Series: WHY EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING, HOW TO PREPARE Experiential learning is a broad term, encompassing a plethora of opportunities for students, including internships, study abroad, campus employment, clinicals, practicum, student teaching, undergraduate research, service learning, civic engagement, entrepreneurial, leadership and others. In order to educate the campus regarding these experiences, CDS will conduct a career boot camp for incoming freshmen and transfer students. Reaching students early and often with messaging is essential. The 'Career Boot Camp, Why Experiential Learning, How to Prepare' will be an interactive, engaging three-session series held during Weeks of Welcome at ��ϲ��, enlisting multiple departments on campus. In addition to learning about opportunities offered, the sessions will help students understand the importance of experiential learning in their career development, and an opportunity to develop a resume and interviewing skills necessary to apply for such opportunities. Students who attend all 3 sessions will receive a t-shirt, certificate and sticker at completion of the series.
