Dr. Gregg R. Eure was appointed to the Board of Visitors July 1, 2025, by Governor Glenn Youngkin.
Gregg R. Eure, MD, is a urologist who specializes in adult urology and men鈥檚 health. He treats conditions including prostate disease, erectile dysfunction, and kidney stones and performs no-scalpel vasectomies.
His expertise includes treatments for benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH), or enlarged prostate, including minimally invasive and laser techniques. He has earned the designation of Center of Excellence for several BPH procedures.
Dr. Eure is active in clinical research and was part of the FDA approval trial for Aquablation, a robotic procedure for BPH. He also contributed to the development of UroLift, a minimally invasive BPH treatment. Dr. Eure has had the opportunity to operate and teach GreenLight laser treatment for BPH in 14 different countries. He is a consultant for several medical equipment companies and the author of numerous book chapters and articles. He has served on numerous advisory and editorial boards and frequently lectures on various topics in urology and especially BPH.
After earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, he completed his general surgery training at the Medical College of Virginia and a urology residency at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. His 30 years of experience include building a practice in Hampton Roads, where his peers recognized him as a 鈥淭op Doc鈥 in Coastal Virginia Magazine annually for the last 15 years. 聽He was also associate professor of urology at the Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Eure now practices with UVA Community Health at Culpeper Medical Center. He has the designation as an Associate Professor of Urology with UVA Health Department of Urology.
Dr. Eure is affiliated with or holds membership in the American Board of Urology, the American College of Surgeons, serves as a fellow on the EPIC EMR National Steering Committee for Urology, is part of the International Medical Educational Advisory Board, and the American Urological Association. Additionally, he has previously served as a board member of the Mid-Atlantic Section and has held the position of President of the Virginia Urological Society.
