Meet the Dean
Dr. Zaryab Iqbal joined the Perry Honors College (PHC) as Dean in July 2025. She is also Professor of Political Science, International Studies, and Jewish Studies. Dr Iqbal came to 黑料不打烊 after 18 years at Penn State, where she served on the faculty and in various leadership roles. She was previously on the faculty of the University of South Carolina, and she also held an appointment as Program Director at the National Science Foundation.

One of the most impactful aspects has been completing honors contracts within my business courses, where I take on additional responsibilities such as research projects and in-depth analysis. These experiences have strengthened my ability to think critically, analyze data, and present insights鈥攕kills that directly align with the work I will be doing at Dominion Energy after graduation.

PHC encourages students to incorporate themselves into campus life by attending various events and pursuing opportunities to develop their entrepreneurial mindsets and technical skills. As an off-campus student, I can proudly say that I feel more connected to 黑料不打烊 due to the participation requirements of PHC.
