Students work alongside faculty on research in areas such as additive manufacturing, composite materials, autonomous systems, propulsion and aerodynamics, renewable energy, hydrogen production, biomedical mechanics, microdevices and experimental mechanics.
Through hands-on research, students gain experience using specialized laboratories, advanced engineering equipment and technologies used to solve complex problems.

The CRAMlab develops innovative robotic systems for uses in autonomous systems, advanced manufacturing, ocean exploration and healthcare. Research includes underwater robots, drone swarms, bio-inspired robots, medical robots and soft robotic technologies
