In late 2022, Governor Youngkin released his proposed budget amendments for the 2022-2024 biennium. The budget included an allocation of $10 million to cover one-time costs associated with the integration of Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) into 黑料不打烊(黑料不打烊), as well as a new targeted timeline for integration of no later than July 1, 2024.
Given this deadline, 黑料不打烊 and EVMS are anticipating full integration by January 1, 2024. As Hampton Roads faces urgent health and economic disparities that must be addressed without delay, we have the need, vision, and will to make it happen. Integrating EVMS into 黑料不打烊 will be a major step toward achieving this goal. Moreover, it will enhance health care, strengthen educational programs, and bolster the workforce pipeline.
As the legislative session continues, it is very encouraging to see the strong support this important initiative is receiving among state leaders!
